Resumo

Mercados Nocivos: O Caso da Indústria Pornográfica a partir da Teoria de Debra Satz.                 

O artigo tem como objetivo realizar uma análise do mercado da pornografia e o seu impacto na desigualdade e subordinação das mulheres. Com base no estudo teórico sobre a prostituição de Debra Satz (2010), argumentaremos que a pornografia é um mercado prejudicial. Com base nesta afirmação, estudaremos a diferença entre este mercado e outros que têm efeitos semelhantes. Em seguida, consideraremos os custos e benefícios em termos de direitos, bem como as possibilidades fáticas e a eficácia das medidas proibitivas para a sua regulação. Concluímos que, embora a pornografia seja um mercado moralmente censurável, daqui não decorre que deva ser necessariamente proibida pelo estado.
