By way of Introduction. Soft Law: On the Frontiers of Law
The papers in this special section are an attempt to advance the necessary legal philosophy debate on the analysis of soft law. Analyzing soft law from a philosophical-legal perspective forces legal philosophy to look in the mirror, compelling it to justify its core assumptions about the nature of law. The point is not just that we need a philosophically sound concept of normativity, law, or validity to explain soft law; rather, soft law obliges us to reconsider notions that are too firmly established in our theoretical legal framework.
